Army suspends retired three-star general over tweet sent to Jill Biden

A retired 3-star general of the U.S. Military has been suspended from a “mentor” position soon after sarcastically congratulating very first woman Jill Biden for studying “what a girl is.”

The Army verified the suspension to Fox News Saturday and confirmed speculation that the veteran was beneath inside investigation for mocking Biden.

Fox News Electronic achieved out to the U.S. Military for clarification on the issue. A spokesperson for the Military verified that Retired Lt. Gen. Gary Volesky has been suspended. It also verified that he was element of an “inquiry,” but delivered no even further specifics. 

“Lt. Gen. Theodore Martin, commanding normal of the Combined Arms Centre, has suspended retired Lt. Gen. Gary Volesky from carrying out responsibilities as a Extremely Qualified Professional — Senior Mentor pending the final result of the commander’s inquiry,” the Army informed Fox Information.

Volesky mocked Jill Biden on social media in June, responding to a tweet about the Supreme Court overturning Roe v. Wade.

“For approximately 50 many years, girls have had the right to make our own conclusions about our bodies. These days, that right was stolen from us,” Jill Biden wrote in the aftermath of the Dobbs case. “And while we may well be devastated by this injustice, we will not be silent. We will not sit back again as the development we have presently received slips away.”

“Happy to see you last but not least know what a girl is,” Volesky replied.
