THOMASVILLE — Thomas County Central Large School educator Nicholas Haskin never ever planned to shell out his days informing youth about the company environment. Now, he could not visualize instructing anything else.
His authentic intention was to be an English teacher right until he took an introductory enterprise course. Then, his adviser Dr. Mary Willis asked him to be a teacher’s assistant since he experienced this kind of an affinity for the subject.

He has a Bachelor of Science in Small business Instruction and a Learn of Science in Business Education with Leadership, equally from Valdosta Condition College.

Haskin teaches a variety of small business programs in entrepreneurship, business technologies, human resources, and electronic structure. His lessons are part of the TCCHS Profession, Specialized, and Agricultural Education, or CTAE, section.
“CTAE directly prepares college students for substantial-wage, substantial-demand professions by educating them about and for their careers,” Haskin explained. “In TCCHS CTAE plans, we instruct valedictorians, athletes, welders, mechanics, nurses, medical practitioners, pharmacists, lecturers, farmers, producers, engineers, bankers, and future business leaders. He enjoys doing the job with his CTAE loved ones of educators and his pupils.
“While I enjoy the topic issue that I instruct, my ultimate aim is not only to instruct but to mentor my college students,” Haskin claimed.
He strives to create a classroom ecosystem that builds interactions as a result of correct finding out and allows them triumph. Many of his former students open companies or start out corporations.
“I feel that interactions direct to finding out,” he stated. “Seeing college students arrive back to college and share their successes is the finest part of my job. Previous college students will forever be etched into who I am as a instructor and as a particular person.”
Haskin shares his really like for business with his pupils by means of Long term Organization Leaders of America and the College Keep. He is the TCCHS FBLA chapter head adviser, and his customers operate in the retail store, learning entrepreneurship capabilities.

Spouse and children is the most important thing in Haskin’s lifestyle, no matter if it be at household, church, or on the occupation. His wife, Erin, is a nurse practitioner at the McIntosh Clinic and a nationally-certified diabetic issues educator. They have a few children, Cason, 15, Kynlee, 14, and Daniel, 16.
